At Dynamic Dies, we take our work seriously, but we also know that education sticks a little better when you have some fun with it. That is the idea behind our new video series, The DDI Wrong Tool Workshop, hosted by Chad, our VP of Sales and resident “please don’t actually try this at home” instructor.
If you have ever wondered what happens when someone reaches for the biggest hammer on the rack to rule a cutting die, you are about to find out. Spoiler: it is never the right answer, even if Chad insists on testing that theory in the name of education. In the workshop, you will see exaggerated mistakes, over-the-top tool choices, and plenty of moments that help explain why technique matters more than brute force.
You will also see what happens when he swaps a simple spritz bottle for a garden hose in an attempt to speed up glue acceleration. Yes, it gets messy. No, the rubber survives only in theory.

Because our industry is highly technical, and understanding the right methods is essential to extending the life of your dies and improving performance on the floor. We want to give our customers and partners the confidence to make informed decisions. If showing you the wrong way helps highlight the right way in a memorable, visual format, then we consider that a win.
The DDI Wrong Tool Workshop is our way of sharing knowledge, breaking down misconceptions, and offering a behind-the-scenes look in a more approachable way. It is educational, a little chaotic at times, and rooted in the expertise our team brings to every project.
